Great RnB night. The venue looks good but queuing for the club was not well organised. Sent to queue outside after queuing ins the bar for 15 mins. Must say the staff were friendly.
Our company was there for the Xmas night out on Saturday. I have only given three stars due to the standard of the food which was poor at best. There was 6 people to a table and the food was sharing platters, which i do understand given the type of night it was, however there wasn't enough food given out to go round. The starter of smoked salmon and prawn was tasty (the morsel i got). The main course of, well i think it was supposed to be a turkey dinner was not very good at all. The vegtables (potatoes) were deep fried, the carrots & parsnips were cremated, the meat (turkey meat balls) was at best processed. The slab of stuffing was dried up and inedible, the pigs in blankets were the only things relatively edible.Having said all that the bar was well stocked and the staff were pleasant and experienced.Would i return? Yes for drinks, definitely not for food.
Went for in for a few drinks and meal with the other half last night, drinks are far to overpriced, food presentation lacked and tasted as bad as it looked it's a nice bar, staff as super friendly which is why the star, management look like they had something to prove with a chip on their shoulder not welcoming at all. Which made us feel like we were being looked down upon. Wouldn't recommend, will not be wasting money in their again.
Great bar to pop into at the weekend. Slow service at times but great drinks.
Seen this pub go through many changes over the years since the first date with my wife at the flax & furkin. It's now superb! Great food and an environment that encourages you to say all day. Nighttime its a fun place to be, especially if you like a large selection of gin and want to step into wonderland.
