An excellent place to visit in the heart on PRESTON city centre. A small park with a lot of interest ! I have been to this park many times in my years,they even have walks and talks around the park with The Friends Of Winckley Square ParkI was here a few weeks ago as a volunteer with gardening students from Myrescough college and many other volunteers and Tony (The Park Ranger)to plant 5000 daffodil bulbs. Tony was out last week in the snow with a few volunteers helping plant 2000 snow drops, not that we had enough snow already Its going to be a lovely show this year Im sure there will be plenty of people meandering and meditating or just clearing and resting in the park this year.Highly Recommended
Winckley Square is the perfect beauty spot for you to just relax and enjoy the scenery. I love the improvements that have been made with brand new benches, the twinkling lights on the footpaths and the wooden seats right in the middle of the park. Kudos to the to the people behind it all!!!
Nice open space, just a little boring for my taste. Looks great at night though.
It's absolutely beautiful with the new renovation. A breath of fresh air, right in the Preston city centre.
It's a beautiful little green space, peaceful and quiet and clean. Has squirrels and birds plus lots of different plants. There is seating areas or, if it's dry, then lots of grass to sit down on. All in all, a lovely restful space and it is just off the main shopping area. A real treasure in the city centre and by way of an additional bonus, Friends of Winckley Square have organised markers highlighting past residents who lived at various houses in the Square.
