Great place! Lots of different Owls and a couple of other birds of prey. Unfortunately didn't get to see the flying show on the day we visited but did get to hold a couple of the owls. Will definitely visit again.
A beautiful place to visit and there is an opportunity to see flights and get close to them. It is out of the way, so I would advise phoning first to see if they are open and when is the best time to go to see the birds up close. But well worth going.
We had an awesome few hours here. Great for children, you get up close to the birds. The flying display is a must. A hands-on experience - if a little slow. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I'm sure it's even nicer away from the cold and wet of winter. Lovely cafe in the garden centre too. Loses a star for not having an entrance on its own (you've got to meander through the garden centre) and it's a little run-down, well, certainly more four star than five star. But that's certainly not a reason not to go. Thanks - we loved our visit. We will return.
Lovely staff there in the sanctuary but unfortunately there was no flying display on the day we visited because of too few staff which was a shame but understandable. The garden centre is quite nice too and the cafe is lovely and also reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit whether you're young or old because the birds are really spectacular to see. I left a 5 donation, I hope everyone else does the same because there's no charge and the place survives on the kindness of visitors.
