Purchased a watch for my wife today from Whittles. The lady who dealt with us (Barbara) could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It's fair to say she was a contributing factor that we purchased the watch from this particular jewellers. Excellent service.
Very arrogant. Tried many times to do business with them and always left thinking they are looking down their nose at me. Final straw for me was when I enquired about a bezel insert swap on a Rolex. I was told no problem, but they wanted to see the watch before hand. Travel into town, parking, time off work etc. Sorry our watchmaker says no. I rang Rolex HQ from outside the shop, no problem take it to them and they'll do it while I wait. Rolex- great very helpful, Whittles- not great very unhelpful. The people in there need to remember that without customers they'd have no one to look down on.
I've purchased a number of items (replacement leather straps and 2 watches) from Whittles over the past 3 years, and have had dealings with all of their current staff. The service I have both received and witnessed, has been absolutely flawless. All of the staff are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. You really feel like you're buying from a trustworthy family business, rather than a sole-less chain. The Whittles team will undoubtedly receive business from me again!
Truly reccomend whittles to anyone looking for a designer/luxury watch, or jewellery. Every time I go into Whittles (most weeks) I am always well looked after and put at ease. Friendly, no pressure staff. I will continue dealing with Whittles for anything jewellery/watch related and recommend them to all my friends and family.
