Why advertise on google that you're open on Saturdays 10:30-5pm when you're actually closed for the entire day? we arrived here just to find info that the museum is closed, without any other explanation nor updated timetable.
Free to enter..Lovely local museum with some great seasonal additional installations. Come quick though as liable to not be around for long as council cuts hit, which will be a massive lose to Preston.
We went today just pass a couple of hours and spent over 4 here today! Fantastic museum with really friendly, helpful staff. Visited the cafe first thing for coffee and then stayed for a great lunch - they don't do full cooked meals but you can get toasted sandwiches, soup etc. and all reasonable prices. Well worth a visit, but please donate in order that this place can stay open.
Lovely little cafe, friendly staff, lots to see. Please don't close it down! We took four of our five children and they absolutely loved it. They can get into a typical air raid shelter which folk would have had in their garden, feel the size of the trenches, see how it feels to sit in a tank's driving seat, and much much more!
Lovely little museum. There are lots of activities for the kids. There are quite a lot of stairs, so it might be tricky for those with mobility difficulties and it means you need to watch toddlers. The wartime trenches display can be a bit overwhelming for younger children.
