Beautiful Park Definitely worth a visit. Enjoy a walk whilst the kids run of steam or dog walk (dogs must be kept on lead at all times) Also the Start of the Guild Wheel so very cycle friendly. Lovely walk along the River Ribble and Tram Bridge. Chinese Gardens & Fountain a must see. Huge grass area for recreation or sports. No toilet facilities on the park itself you have to use the Caf's
The park is lovely with lots of different types of gardens throughout, can sometimes have issues with litter in the summer months. It's a lovely part of the guild wheel and the parkrun on a Saturday is probably the best thing about Avenham Park
I walk through here every day and today it was covered in snow. A lovely park hidden away from the madness of town.
A beautiful well kept and well proportioned family park which sits along side the beautiful river ribble. I've been to a lot of parks but this one has so much to offer for the whole family and is now one of my favourites.
Here's another marvellous space to 'exhale'. Very easy to get to, huge views in all directions and very beautiful as it is partly in a hill side. Dog and child friendly with walks along the river, over bridges, under bridges, through the oriental garden, past fountains and past wonderful flower beds to a great cafe. A really important part of Preston's history.
