Always found this store pretty good, especially the staff. However upon visiting the cafe the contrast is quite spectacular, poor service, miserable staff, pretty standard food and dirty. I have always loved the coffee here but something just was not right with it this time and my toasted sandwich was only half cooked. Please marks and spencer take the time to address this, before people just stop going.
This is a review of the food hall only. While it's good to have a decent sized supermarket in the middle of town, I find the products on offer disappointing. There are far too many ready meals, not enough loose, fresh fruit and veg, far too much plastic packaging, and the range of organic products is almost non-existent.
Use it or lose it: it has a very nice food hall, appealingly stuffed full of delicious things. The whole store is well staffed, uncrowded and is a pleasure to browse around.
Went for breakfast, decided on a FULL ENGLISH ! for 7.95 you get NO beans and if you want any its an extra expense. Food perfectly cooked but no beans one sausage and all for nearly 8 quid. Far too expensive for what you get ! Oh and a brew is extra too !!!
Nice big store with plenty of choice for men and women. Like most high Street stores, there's less aimed at bigger and taller, but generally you can find the size you need on their website.Food section here is pretty good too, worth a visit if you're a fan of M&S edibles.
